This Week's News
- HHS Band Wind Ensemble Audition Taking Place This Week. Students are currently recording auditions for ensemble and chair placement for concert season. Concludes on Friday.
- BMS Performance Friday. The band will be performing at Bellevue Middle School Friday morning. Students were given SRA's for the event earlier in the week. Students need to have a sack lunch; they will NOT be allowed to go off-campus for lunch. More information about the event:
- Full Dress Uniform (underarmour, black socks, mtx/kullerswift shoes)
- Students will be called to the band room at 8:00 AM
- Students will need to be in SSA before and after the event
- Metro bus departs at 9:00 AM
- Performance at Bellevue starts at 9:45
- We should return to Hillwood at or before 11:45 (tentative)
- Next Band Booster Meeting Tuesday, Nov 10. Please join us for the next Booster meeting. The meeting will be in the Rehearsal Hall at 6:00 PM.
- Next Band Statements out November 10. The next band account statements will be handed out at the general booster meeting on Tuesday, November 10. Please review your student's account balance and make sure it is below $200 or less if they are attended the Chicago trip. Non-Chicago participants should have balances of $100 or less. (For families with payment arrangements, please refer to your payment agreement.)
Some students still owe money for marching shoes, under-armour shirts, and/or black polos. Please take care of these amounts before the end of November.
REMINDER: the next installment of $100 for Chicago participants is due on Tuesday, December 1.
- Upcoming Events! Several events have been added to the calendar for November. Please look for more information in the coming newsletters, or in letters sent home.

- It's Fruit Sale Time! Fruit can be ordered in person or online. To pay by debit or credit card, please use the online ordering option. December Delivery: Orders due November 18, 2009
- Now Accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX, and PayPal. Band fees can now be paid by using a variety of methods through PayPal. Don't forget donations! We have a place for that now, too. Visit the HHS Band website at http://www.hillwoodband.com/ to see (and use) them.
