* Composite Pictures available for viewing February 20, 2009.  The good folks that were scheduled to be at our December concert with the composite pictures will return February 20 for the cluster concert.  Pictures will be available for viewing and immediate purchase from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the lobby.

Are you finished paying your band fees for this year?  Would you like to get ahead on next year's fees?  Well, several families have done both with the parking fundraiser.  It's easy and you don't have to sell anything!

Volunteering for Central Parking is different from the Steeple Chase fundraiser.  You don't direct cars to make-shift parking spots; you sell tickets for special events.  Volunteers wear orange vests and stand at entrances to parking lots (mostly around the Sommet Center) and sell the tickets as people enter the lots.  Volunteers  under 18 wear the orange vests, but they don't sell tickets, they have orange flags and flag cars into the lots.

This opportunity is open to all Hillwood families.  However, band members will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.  Parents/guardians do not have to be accompanied by their band member.  Each volunteer is paid a set rate and the money is paid directly to the HHS Band Boosters and credited to the band member's account.  Because this is a volunteer event, you aren't an employee of Central parking and standard deductions are not taken - the full hourly rate is credited to your account.

To volunteer send an email to parking@hillwoodband.com to be put on the email list.  Each month volunteer groups receive a calendar of events and, if more event help is needed, additional emails are sent.  When you find an event you would like to work, send an email back to parking@hillwoodband.com with the dates and workers (and ages for the band students if they are working).  It is best to give at least a 2-day notice so that the coordinator at Central Parking can get all the paperwork in order.

Central Parking sponsors this opportunity for organizations who have a 501(c)3 Federal Tax Exempt Status.  It is open year-round.
