From Julie Lamb - Fruit for Sale:
Dear Band Boosters,
I want to thank the many parents who use the fruit/fudge sale to help raise funds for the band. Hillwood raised a little over $4000 and Bellevue raised about $2300 for the two sales. As the mom who has organized this for four years (eight sales), I have found it is a great fundraiser. The best way to maximize sales is to keep a list of names from year to year, watch it grow longer each year and then pass on your list with new incoming band members. I have picked up many names of folks who want called annually. Keeping a file or spreadsheet will allow the band to develop clients for years if everyone plans just a little. And if you can talk them into ordering on-line, the company sends out reminders when the sale begins each year. saving you time too! I know the students don't like selling anything but the senior love getting their annual fruit. It brings a smile to many folks by following this annual tradition. Have a wonderful holiday season. - Julie | |
